Prabhsimran fell early to Kagiso Rabada. But Priyansh stayed calm. He played with confidence. He used a variety of beautiful strokes. He expressed himself without fear.

But Prabhsimran fell early to Kagiso Rabada. Priyansh didn’t panic. He stayed confident and played a variety of beautiful shots.

“As wickets fell, Iyer took charge. He launched an incredible counterattack. With precise shots, he dominated the “V” and smashed a half-century in just 27 balls. He hammered 22 runs off Prasidh Krishna’s over, pushing PBKS past the 200-run mark in a brutal assault. Iyer stayed unbeaten with a career-best 97* off 42 balls. His knock included five fours and nine massive sixes. Shashank Singh added the final touch with a blazing 44 off 16 balls. PBKS posted a massive 243/5, setting up an exciting challenge for GT.
Gujarat Titans started strong. Captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan built a solid foundation while chasing 244. Gill set the pace with a blazing 33 off 14 balls. But Glenn Maxwell dismissed him on the last ball of the powerplay. Despite the setback, GT reached 61/1 in the first six overs.
Sai then took charge with Jos Buttler, who was playing his first innings for GT. The left-right pair built a smooth 84-run partnership. They kept up with the high required run rate. Sai played with his usual elegance and reached his sixth IPL fifty. He scored a classy 74 off 41 balls. Arshdeep Singh finally broke the stand.

Sherfane Rutherford came in as the impact player and made an instant impact. He smashed Marcus Stoinis with a huge 97-meter six. But Punjab fought back with a tight 17th over from Vishnu Vyshak.
Jos Buttler stood firm when GT needed 57 from 18 balls. He played calmly and hit a fifty on his Titans debut. Just when GT’s hopes were rising, Marco Jansen struck. He bowled a perfect yorker and knocked over Buttler for 54 off 33 balls.
Punjab’s bowlers stayed composed. They defended the total with skill. Rutherford’s fighting 46 off 28 and Rahul Tewatia’s late efforts weren’t enough. Punjab secured a crucial season-opening win.
